Shop Purchases:
Battlefield 2142 PhpNuke Theme (Aviator) · Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Battlefield 2142 X-Theme (Ultimate)

Back a while now when I was using SMF TP forums I used a little script that stopped users from being able to select text.

I was wondering if its possible to make a module that will prevent only guests from being able to select text and using the right click or even better if it could be set to only be off to specified user groups as anybody could register just to steal content.

I have only been able to disable right clicking on my themes as they use flash content but have never thought about not being able to select text.

Regards

yeah i have used the "no select text" script it works great in IE but i found that when in Mozilla you could not click inside forms, i.e. if a user wanted to contact you via the feedback module Mozilla users could not click the mouse cursor into the select boxes.

Here is the script >> http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noselect.htm Embarrased

i know this is late in posting but here goes. You can not keep people from right clicking on your website. As there are ways around it.

Some users have used a right click context menu to deter people but that doesn't do anything but annoy people due to the fact alot of options are there. Such as print, size, back, forward.

Things you can do to stop the no right click option.

1) viewing source will allow a user to get info.

2) turning off javascript and java in your web browser.

3) there is a script you put into your browser's address bar that disables no right click on the site that you are viewing.
