If it is possible, how do I install the same module twice? I want to do this with sommaire (think v2).

It is possible, but depending on the size of the module, it can be a lot of work.

Sommaire would be a tough cookie. That menu block / module has tons of code. It could still be done, but I know it would take a good 4 hours to get it all converted and tested.

A) not an option
B) not for free
C) rename the module name, edit all links in the module aswell, the functions in the admin have to be renamed, and the database tables have to be renamed

i always thought that you can have to of the same modules installed aslong as they are IE.version 1 and version 2 like you have sommaire and then sommaire v2 so i would have thought aslong as it is not an update for sommaire1 then it would be ok. well that is they way i would do it!

Mostly version 2 is an updated version of version one.
So the datebase tabels are the same and the content aswell.
Version 2 will be a little different and have more,
but a lot of things will be the same too.

You can have 2 sommare menu's running one one site, i have done it in the past..
The team that made sommaire actually released it. I have it some where on my hard drive if your having trouble finding it

Its a simple thing to do. I use to run the same code in one of my servers multiple times I just had to change a few things that were being called in the script otherwise it would be like have the same thing installed it would act as one.

You would have to change the DB table names links/paths and everything els that points to that ONE module etc even if its only by 1 character so adding a "1" at the end of each thing that needs to be changed would suffice and work I would think.
