Shop Purchases:
T3 Light Multi Gaming Theme

Now, I will first explain that this is not a clan themes theme - a simple standard theme but I have a problem with differences between the theme's appearance. In Firefox, all the text is aligned properly however in Ei it is all in the centre! Please take a look and give me a shout if you have any experience with this sort of problem, or have any ideas to resolve.

The site is as follows: - www.fcladders.com

It is a work in progress - so excuse the mess, esp if you visit using IE!!!

Clan Roster 2.0 · Bad Company 2 Vietnam Xtreme Theme

Hey Lazzy

longtime

I just had a quick look the only difference's i could initially see was the size differences between the text, this is going to be caused by your themes style.css found in your themes style folder

I still have an old farcry theme somewhere..

Different Browsers require different html code..

Example:
Code:

<a href="link_here"><img src="url_to_image"></a>

In IE, this will provide a border around the image..while in FireFox it shouldnt...
One has to manually tell it to NOT place the border..

Example:
Code:

<a href="link_here"><img border="0" src="url_to_image"></a>

which will create the same effect in both IE and Firefox.

This is only one of thousands of examples.. in differences between those two browsers...lets not forget that there are dozens of other browsers..

Generally speaking..Firefox is a more forgiving browser..if there are errors in the code of a page, FF will interpret what its SUPPOSED to be, while IE will just display the error.

You will not recieve help from me if i have to go digging for your CMS information and version, If i have to take the time to play 21 questions, then you can take the time to google! No Copyright, no support either!

I had googled this prevously, and also hoped that there would be a solution posted by someone who had used the same them previously. Sadly, this wasn't the case!!

Was fairly sure it was a styles.css issue.

Bayler - you're as useful as ever (top guy) Angel

Think I may have to try another theme Confused

My best advice, is to always check Browser Compatibility ( Especially When Purchasing a theme ) You can always request a Demo of a theme ( Most Authors Selling themes will gladly provide a demo, Simply compare the user stats for your own website with the listed Browsers your clients are using and check the deme against the previewed Theme Demo....

It You feel the theme is worth correcting any issues, then by all means, DO SO! Its always better that a webmaster know as much as they can about the system they are operating and its limitations! It only helps you look that much more competent as a webmaster of your community!
