Post Having trouble making forums work in newravennuke install Posted: Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:41 am

I'm having a heck of a time getting forums to work. I've follwed the howtoinstall directions from ravennuke and installed everything but, I can't get forums to work. There's nothing in the documentation to suggest what to do. I log into the admin panel on the website and I can see the Forum module but, when I try to access it a popup box comes up asking for a login and password. I input what all that should be but, it keeps popping back up asking for the login and password again. If I go to the website and try to access forums like a normal registered user then I get to a page that says no forums are in this site. So, something isn't right and I'm hoping and praying one of you fine folks can help me out.

thanks

Darth

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Clan Roster 2.0

Hello mate, it sounds like the module has not been activated in the modules admin... Go to admin and then modules in that big ole list you will see Forums, activate it and then the page will refresh scroll back down to make sure it is active and then go to the forum admin by the icon in your admin panel and create a topic and forum.

Then set your forum configuration like avater settings and the like and then slick on forum index whilst your in the forum administration. You should now be able to see and use your forums

Hi Doc,

Thanks for your help on this. I checked in the modules area and it was already active. At that point I compared my source directory to what was on my server and found that the nukebb.php file was missing. Not exactly sure how that happend. I copied it over via FTP and voila forums magically appeared.
