Download module help Posted: Wed Dec 12, 2007 5:45 am

I have a php nuke website and i cant enter a download category i go to my admin panel then go to downloads and add a category and then i go to c if its there and theres 0 categories so i dont understand whats happening. I added another download module thats wen it stoped working i think, so i removed it and problem still persists.

I then deleted the one download module left and put it back in again and didnt sole anything. so im hoping someone can help me out here.

The easiest option for you would be to remove the downloads module, grab the original one and re upload the module from fresh

I need to know what version of PHP-Nuke you used so i can help make the SQL

Alternatively if you like our downloads module i can install it for you for a small fee (NOT THE POINTS VERSION THOUGH)

just PM me for a quote, or post the version of nuke so i can help with the SQL

Regarding your other post, you cant have done the SQL database right or it would have saved your catogorie right

Its just to complicated to explain what to do over the forums, and if you have no experiance of using phpmyadmin then your fudged...

Its not a 2 minute job either, its a big job if you dont have a clue..

If you dont have much on your site now, then maybe a fresh install of nuke.

If you dont want to do that then here is the short instructions

re upload your original downloads module

you need to get into phpmyadmin and remove all of the old downloads sql's and then re install the original sql's

thats it, its the phpmyadmin thats the hard part if you never been in there before.

Oh i made another post on this because i culdnt find this one. but i installed and reinstalled but there has been no difference so would there be anything i need to delete in mysql or something??

If you started from scratch, you should have removed your old database and reinstalled from fresh.

I didnt remove my old database because ive got forum msgs and lots more that i need in there so i was wondering if yude no anything i had to look for imperscpicific i so need to get this fixed! if u can help me fix this you will be a champion.
