Hey All,

I have been hunting round the net for an answer to my problem I had on my site, of course I should of come here first as the answer was here... Cheers Floppy ;)

Any way back to the reason for the post, I have seen quite a few sites doing a christmas theme where they have snow on thier buttons/block headers & falling snow over the whole page... How the hell do you do this & more importantly where can I get something like this from?

I have no idea where to start is it a MOD or a HACK or a MODULE??? Sarcastic

Any Help or a point in the right direction would be great

Yeah - that's the problem that I have. Actually - I think there is a module addon here that lets you put html into the header.

If not - you could try, maybe, to edit the header.php manually - not sure if that's the right way to go though. I'm still learning my way around the phpnuke file set up.

yeah it is the header.php if you go to the Clan Themes Downloads and search for Snow Storm V2 there is full instructions on what to do :P

I am also playing with the v2 snow mod type thingy and i am a bit of a noob and i cant figiure out the correct location to add the Script/Code i know its in the Header.php file but i have tryed many locations in that and still no luck any chance some very nice person can show me the correct location of it ? pretty please ?

As soon as I get it running i'll let you know where about's to put the code. I have not had enough time today to play around with it today. Will probably start on it tomorrow ready for the 1st Dec lol

OK I have this working on my site!

This is what I had to do:

1st I put the line of code on line 17 in my header.php in my themes folder. (Fig 1.)

Next I had to modify the snowstorm.js file like so. (Fig 2.)

I have updated the javascript file with a comment so its easier to understand. Also I have updated the readme so it is easier to work out where to put the line of code ;)

Awsome man nice work with that help i got it working first time many thanks again and can i be a pain and ask for more advice?
Ill ask now just in case you say yes and if you look and you cant help you can just say no lol
Ok my problem is i got the snow to work but every otehr time i load the page it shuts the wepage down saying its un able to "open internet site and teh operation is aborted.
I have a PHP nuke site using version 7.5
i was unable to get it to work by changing the header.php file in my root folder but had success by changing my header.html information in my root/themes/xxx folder
My browser is ie7
i also have a javascript shout box running on the main page and wonder if they are conflicting but that would not explain why it works every other time at the moment.
I hope i have disclosed plenty of information for you to be able to help or point me in teh direction of somebody/ place that can.

have you not tried opening your your header.php in the root of your site, find

echo"<head>";/n (or very similar)

after you have found that type

?>

then cut and paste the .js code, ie whats inside the .js once you have pasted the code in close it again with

<?php

save and upload..

I like that snow script, but i don't like how it gathers on the bottom of the screen.. gets a bit annoying after a bit
