I have over 1500 members signed up to my site but 95% of them are spam bots... I would
like to figure a way out to stop them from signing up. Does anyone what of a mudule, or what I can do to prevent this?

#1 is implement a captcha system. (It's the graphic letter code you have to enter when you register, log in, download a file, etc) You didn't state what version of Nuke you are using. Without that, I can't tell you how to do it.

You should have in your PHP Admin settings a little section that states the following:

Allow Anonymous to Post? Yes No <-- Have No selected as this will stop anyone with the name anonymous from posting in your forum

Also in your .php files you should have some sort of config.php file in there you can set the GFX check as detailed previously by topjob

Like below (ravensnuke):

$gfx_chk:   7
    You need to have GD extension installed:
     0: No check
     1: Administrators login only
     2: Users login only
     3: New users registration only
     4: Both, users login and new users registration only
     5: Administrators and users login only
     6: Administrators and new users registration only
     7: Everywhere on all login options (Admins and Users)


IMO you really should get Ravens Nuke 2.10.01 as this is a really good Nuke install to use, especially at combating Spam app's and hackers alike.

Aswell as this you want to get CNBYA 4.4.2 as this allows you the admin to accept or decline any user wanting to register on your site.

I use antispam from HERE
I used to get several new users a day all registering and all posting porn in the forums, after installing this it completely stopped
