Hi guys just moved house and had to wait 6 weeks for broadband, dont you just love BT lol

Anyway now I'm back I'm looking for a hack I seem to remember seeing on here but can't find
Basically when a new member visits the forum it forces them to read a specific post
I need to put up a warning about possible bad language, etc
Was going to to do a popup but the tutorial links don't work

There is no such table as phpbb_users thats for phpbb, PHPNuke uses nuke_users instead

Lets see, i may need to look over the whole hack, but these tables worked for me

Code:

drop table if exists nuke_force_read;
drop table if exists nuke_force_read_users;
alter table nuke_users add user_ftr smallint(1) not null default '0';
alter table nuke_users add user_ftr_time int(10) not null default '0';


insert into nuke_bbconfig (config_name, config_value) values ('ftr_msg', 'Sorry *u*, you need to read our topic: "*t*" for new users. After you read it, you can proceed to browse our posts normally. Please click *l* to view the post. ');

I just found another mod called "Welcome Private Message"

This mod gives you in the admin section a panel to control a welcome message
on registration. You can disable it with the admin panel and type the message send by the mod.

Just thought idd let you know, if you wanted that one instead.
