Post Login problems (bottom of forums) 7.9np v3.3 Posted: Sun Aug 26, 2007 11:47 pm

Hi people. Love the site/theme.

Any how, the reason why I'm here:

I was wondering if you could help me with an annoying bug which I'm trying to fix. When you view the forums on my site, if you scroll to the bottom, enter your username/password and click 'Login', it just seems to refresh the page. I've not a clue what could be causing it. I've looked on all the nuke sites but haven't found any solution so far other than, as topjob mentioned over at DBF Designs, remove the forum login all together. I'm not sure how to do this. Does anyone know how? Or even better; does anyone know what's causing it and how to fix it?

All the best,
J.

Shop Purchases:
Call of Duty 5 Bulletproof Theme

A quick question as I have never really understood this login area.

Are you already logged in when you see it ie from the front page?

Cheers

Yes and no. It's the same whether I'm logged in or not. However, my problem seems to have changed. Do you think I'm being hacked? Try typing anything in the fields, e.g:

http://www.squadz.co.uk/bf2/modules.php?name=Forums
Username: testing
Password: testing
Click 'Login'.

Then move your mouse over 'Here' where it says 'Click Here to try again' and look at the URL (Usually in bottom left of your browser); that could just be a bug.. Though, the reason I ask, "Do you think I'm being hacked?" is this:

Goto: http://www.squadz.co.uk/bf2/modules.php?name=Forums and click 'Profile'. It's asking for login credentials for squadz.com!!! Open Mouth

I don't have anything to do with squadz.com. I OWN SQUADZ.CO.UK, NOT SQUADZ.COM!!

I can't figure it out. I'm completely baffeled as to why it could be redirecting people there.. Crying

.. God I'm such a noob.

It's OK, Topjob did some magic and now everything works. Dunno what he did exactly, but it worked a treat.

Thanks, Topjob.

And it turned out, the problem I had with my users being sent to another site, was actually my fualt. I logged in to the Forum Admin>General Config, and changed the domain to what it should of been. (From www.squadz.com to www.squadz.co.uk)

Yes, I am a noob. Smiley
