I installed the Jail Mod, and I'm wondering if there's a way to let moderators access the jail admin panel? I'd really like to give this option to my mods, but without giving them full access to the admin panel, any help is much appreciated.

I guess I could just make a page with mod access to it. I just don't know how the permissions work on phpnuke/phpbb, I'll just have to read some code for a bit, and I should be able to handle it, I was just hoping for some direction or even if a mod close to this exists, would save some time, but I never give up, and I'll have it someday.... :)

If the jail mod is inside the phpbb ACP then you must give them admins access to the forums. They must have access to all the forums ACP.

I have never used the jail mod so you will have to tell me a little more about how it works.

Thx Floppy, but I used a low tech method for a quick fix.... I made a new folder on the server called /mod and then I put a modified pagestart.php into it, and the admin_cell.php (Jail Admin PHP file). I changed the pagestart.php files permission from Admin user_level 2 to Mod user_level 3. With a few other modifications, I'll have a nice mod-add on for the jail.

I've actually made a lot of my own crappy mods this way, I tend to start the mod and not finish it on the back end. It looks good for all the users, but my backend interfaces ended just staying crappy...lol

Are user points granted for mod submission? I might just have to release one... :)

Hi guys,

Been reading the topic, and it seems to me you had no problems at all Haste, at the moment im trying to install the jail mod, but cant do it at all, is there a faq i can work off in detail?

Im finding it quite difficult to install :(

Any sort of help is appreciated.

PS: In the install txt file that comes with the jail mod, it shows you how to install, im ok with adding the code to the files, its the ---SQL--- section that im having trouble with. Can someone please explain this more in detail.

Ive added to the nuke_users table correct i think, NO clue on how to "INSERT TO"

Please help a NOOB!

**UPDATE**

Ive got all installed and working. Still one little problem, the "cell bars" dont appear on the imprisoned user, i have it set to display on users when imprisoned, but its not showing.

Is there some more code i have to add, or alter in the "viewtopic" file for this to actually work?
