I believe that tutorial on how to do it is in the tutorial section on this site. Click "Home" in the top navigation, then in the left navigation, scroll down to tutorials and look in there. I am about 99% positive there is something in there about that. About it being in a block, just crate a block and add in your Adsence information into it.

You can open a text file and put this in there and add you information about adsence in the area you see ==POST YOUR INFO IN HERE==. Once you add your information in there, save and name the block block-Adsence.php. It might get saved as block-Adsence.php.txt , If that happens, upload it VIA FTP and rename it there, just remove the .txt and you should be all set.
