Help with vwar!!! Posted: Fri Jul 27, 2007 7:02 am

Sorry I am a complete noob when it comes to the whole website thing. I am having problems installing Vwar. The installation guide says to chmod includes/config.inc.php but that file isn't even in there. Also, when I try to run the install I get this message-
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Open the 216.120.252.192 home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Click Search to look for information on the Internet.

HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Explorer

Please understand I am a noob so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Did oyu check your includes folder for the inc.php file also it may say point your browser to your site but if you installed your vwar in anyother FOLDER other than the ROOT of public_html you have to add the folder name....

So look at this

if I installed vwar into a folder called vwar it would look like this

216.120.252.192/vwar

and blah blah for the installtion file location...

This could be the case. Do you know by chance which version goes with my version of Nuke? I was only able to find vwar150.

your making it sound really hard, all you have to do is upload all the files in the html folder to yoursite

run the install_vwar.php and your done

there is a few files to CHMOD but apart from that its a easy module to install, just read the included readme.txt

your first post just doesnt make sense at all

well thats not hard, its to where ever he uploads it to

if he places it in the public_html folder its going to be http://yoursite.com/install_vwar.php

if he places it inside the modules folder its going to be http://yoursite.com/modules/install_vwar.php
