Hello,

I have a PhpNuke Site and I had a question about Invalid Symbols.. We can't use my clan tag which has { and . in it.. I didn't know if there was a file I could edit so when members register they can use { and . in there username..

Honestly its a good question, but using foreign characters like that is not a good idea anyway. It makes the username extemely hard to remember and type.

I just wouldn't suggest it. A lot of characters can really throw a database off for instance the apostrophe. The reason for this is they are part of the MYSQL and PHP framework.

I can continue to investigate for you in hopes of the answer, but its honestly not a good idea to put your clan tag in your username. If it was my site, you couldn't pay me to change that feature.

Well my tag is {D.I.S.S},
We can change it to {D.I.S.S}Playername once we already register, Most of us do.. But it would make life much easier if we can just put {D.I.S.S} in our username when we register..

Well I still don't recommend this, but this should do it. Be sure to back this up in case I wrong. This is simply a guess.

Find in modules/Your_Account/index.php and remove. Upload and Test.

Not even sure thats a very secure move. I may need to rethink that, but lets see if it works first.
