Hey guys,

I have got this module up and raunning but when i want to add categories or pics it denies me.

I think i know what is causing the problem [taken from the known bugs file]:

Into your php.ini within your webserver you have to set the following values.
If it's not set, it causes errors when you create new categories and if
you upload images/media (safe_mode restriction)!
register_globals = On
safe_mode = Off
upload_max_filesize = 2M

Only thing is i cannot find the 'php.ini. file?

Anyone help me here?

The php.ini is controlled by the host. You can evaluate your php.ini settings though using phpinfo()

Rather simple task too. Create a new php document with opening and closing php tags.

Add this between them.

Upload to your server and run from your browser.

I have looked into this a bit further and my hosted said if iturned on 'register globals' it could cause potential security issues!

Is there another gallery mod available that would only require a writable folder?

That one is rather old.

Should look into www.nukedgallery.net

Its more complicated to setup, but it works well once you get it running.
