I wanted to ask if there are updated docs with detailed info on some of the setups for phpnuke. Some of the older docs that i have been able to read gives some good info, but seems like alot of info is still missing since so many updates.
I dont want to have someone give me total direction, It is healty to learn some of this by myself, but I seem to get stuck on some simple things and the some of the hard ones comes easy.
One would be finding out where to imput the message of the day, or how to add a scrolling block.

but I figured that I would ask, thanks for any help.

Usually the best course of study for such things as you seek is google OR more importantly the study of another. That hardly means copy, but its a quick way to pick up the basics.

That really goes for the coding side of things. We have quite a list of nuke tutorials for you to browse through also. So many resources for nuke out there. Your gonna have to be more specific of the directions your looking for.

On the phpnuke.org site there is a "How To" and it gives alot of info on how to mod or configure alot of the blocks and mods that are in the default. There is examples others that are shown to get pretty much everything configured. But this all seems to be for a much older version that is out and some of the new blocks/mods are not really covered from what I have seen.
For example you have a block for "the big story" or something like that, I go and try to see exactally what i need to do to put a message in this block and cannot find any documation on what to do, and I have not been able to figure it out on my own as of yet.

I dont know if this gives a better explanation of what i am looking for.

I did notice that there was a download for phpnuke in the dl section, that as i get more points I will try to dl it and see what it has.

AH your referring to chris karakas phpnuke HOW TO. Yes it is extremely out dated. Its one of the reasons I don't include it on this site. For such things you are doing the best you can. That is simply trial and error, but if you have a specific coding question. I might be able to help you sort it out or another one of the great contributor's here at CT.
