I have been looking for a quiz or trivia block i could add to my very little guild site. The one that was placed here is a bad download. Could someone direct me to one that would be the easiest to work with and have simple install :)

I have actually looked on google for a couple hours, and tried every different word search string that I could find. The closest was a quiz block that seems to be very difficult to setup and make any changes.
I am really looking for a trivia block that could be used as a contest for everyone on the site and their top scores posted.

If I was any good at writing one I would consider trying to do this myself, but I feel it is far above me, and I have yet to see one on any site that actually worked.

To explain more of what I am looking for:

1. trivia game with simple way to add new questions and choices for answers and different titles...(like star wars, or mash or Dr. who)
2. turn based that can be set (1 time a day,hour,week) or (5x or 10x)
3. on/off to show the answer (if answer it right just say correct instead of saying wrong, and then only after a submit so they cannot go back)
4. set to work in its own block or new page
5. way to reset ....could be auto like every week/month or manual
6. easy setup for database
extra: would be to also have the trivia let you use pics as part of the questions. This could take up space but could really help in the way alot of questions can be added.

Would be a challange for any good programmer :)

you are right, I guess I was hoping that the Idea would plant the thought into enough people that someone with the skill may want to take on the challange to see if they could actually make something like this work.
Money is something I dont have, and I depend on the generosity of others and their hard work. I can only be greatfull for the generosity of all those hard at work programmers that help "newbs" like me.

I found a block over at phpbb site ( summit to do with Blend mod ) not sure if it's what you want or what it does but you might be able to get it to work - http://www.phpbb-portal.com/downloads.php?mode=download&cid=5&lid=33

I went to the site and checked it out, and left them an email to see if it would work with phpnuke, it seems that they had set it up to only work with their portal. But thank you for the info, i have been looking for awile now to see if I could find one anywhere and had no luck.

If I do find out that this will work fine, I will install it and see how it does and post my findings. If I find out that it wont work with what I have then I have talked to a friend of mine that said they would help me with writing the sql code, then I will start a search to see if i can get help to finish it and make it work. But like it was impressed on me, money motivates, and I dont have any :(

Well I don't do things for the money and have been working on the version from phpbb, converting it for nuke.

So far I've got the block working and most of the admin section, to add, edit and delete questions ( all in sql )

It's pritty basic stuff but does the job and can be improved apon with a litle more work.

I'll release version 1.0 soon. Then you can give me some feedback for what you'd like to see added to it Wink
