I no you all hate PHP NUKE Standard but i have no choice as for my host is free and wont allow me to install over 5000 value sql tables so i had to import the tables via PHPmyAdmin. My question is this:

How would i go about adding a author to the sql tables via PHPmyAdmin?

I need very clear and easy to follow, step by step instructions for this please guys!

1st find out if the error is based on the it's size. Contact your web host and ask them to lift the size restriction if so. Or, ask them to do the install for you.

After that, make sure you are deleting the correct Nuke_Authors file and then add the one you have.

The vanilla nuke programs have their place in the community, they are for new people. When beginning learning about Nuke and its uses, it's best to understand the standards before splitting off to the exceptions. Being new, that is where you need to be and what you need to be using.

The only thing a standard PHPNuke site will do for you is get your site hacked by script kiddies. Make sure you are using a patched version of nuke and not the one that installs from Fantastico or Softaculous.....

Thanks for the advice nuken like i said this is a tempary system till i am ready to port up to a better Nuke CMS. I have been working with Nuke for along time and no i am running a high risk!

Just when I had forgotten about the nightmares of fantastico, someone mentions it.... aaaaaahhhhhh.

Just keep up with the patches and turn off anything that allows members to upload anything to your website, set permissions appropriately, make everyone register, and you'll improve your odds immensely. You'll be fine.
