Its because you were using public_html in your url

take that out and I bet it works.

public_html is known as the root directory. So think of it also as http://www.yourdomain.com/vwar or http://yourip/vwar is actually accessing the public_html folder.

Blah I just read what I wrote and that makes no sense. For future use of other readers.

For most servers public_html is known as the root directory.

So accessing a subdirectory would read http://www.yourdoamin.com/subdirectory or http://yourserverip/subdirectory.
