Will not remove any of your current Downloads
Contains the Search fix already applied!
This is the Downloads module found on Nuke Evo Extreme (upgraded by Lonestar of Extreme Evo) with a bunch of changes to improve the overall function and look of the Downloads module. This will work on all version of Evo, Provided is all the SQL file for upgrading from any version of Evo from 2.0.7 and up. Many small changes along with some major theme changes has occur to again, better the overall functionality of users downloading from your site.
I know some of you have Evo extreme 2.0 and said the uploads is not working, well if your running Evo, this has been tested and the uploads do work fine. I did make a little admin note in the download that explains it a bit on how it operates. Read the "ReadMe" and the "coRpSE's Added Notes" at least once through before adding this module to your site.
A few of the changes in Version 1.0b2:
- improved the search results showing list
- improved the overall showing of files in the category listing
- improved overall look of viewing of the files
- Added lightbox image effect to all uploaded images for the downloads
- added in top 10 most popular list
- added in top 10 recently added downloads
- added addition listing of info about your downloads section
- minor tweaks here and there
- a whole lot more and more to come
A few of the changes in Version 1.0b3:
- Added in removed user controls that allowed people to report broken downloads or make modification request. Feature was REMOVED by the Evo Extreme team for unknown reasons, and put back in.
- Added when you are logged in as admin, and your viewing a download and want to make changes to it, or deactivate or delete it, you can without having to go all the way into the ACP and into the DL module and find it, it brings you to it. Feature was REMOVED by the Evo Extreme team for unknown reasons, and put back in.
- Fixed the installer and added in SQL files for those that don't want to use the installer.
- Added in controls in the downloads ACP to turn on or off the Downloads overview
- Added in controls in the downloads ACP to change the amount of the "Top most" shown in the Downloads Overview.
Those last 2 features were ones I mentioned about adding and after being asked to add them I did.
Changes found in Version 1.0b4:
The following is a list of fixes and upgrades I have done for version 1.0b4
- [FIX] Restriction to download. Feature was removed by I believe the Evo team for who know's what reason.
- [FIX] Light box feature, replaced it with lytebox that is already found on Evo Extreme.
- [FIX] Downloads Overview alighnment issue.
- [FIX] Downloads Overview Controls, now can show between 5 - 25 Latest DL/Most DL, not 6 - 25.
- [UPDATED] Upload feature altered to now just upload the files/images without changing the names of the files.
- [UPGRADE] Downloads file path for the new drop down search feature, The ability to change the location of the file that you upload using FTP. coorilates with the locate file talked about just below.
- [UPGRADE] Tooltip added into the download configuration to help with some of the options
- [UPGRADE] Downloads Display controls - the ability to change how you want your downloads look. You have 3 options to choose from.
- [UPGRADE] Downloads Restrictions - Ability to control how many downloads you want your users to download per day/per week. Help stop people just registering on your site to download and never show up again.
- [UPGRADE] Locate file in the "Add Download" section that coorilates to the file path your speciphy in the "Downloads Configuration". NOTE: If you choose a different folder in the configurations from the default, you will need to manually upload the file for the upload feature of the Downloads module still will put files into the default folder.
- [ALTERED] Altered the look of the downloads configuration section of the ACP.
- [FIX] Modify downloads fix applied
We all know the Extreme team came out with a newer version, but sorry guys, if you want to edit it, you can't. This one is still 100% open source and will always stay like that to give you the freedom to improve on it.
