I cant see the point in making "another" phpnuke resource site... why not do something beneficial.

The only reason CT added downloads was because we made gaming themes, so we started adding gaming downloads

I take it you are going to troll existing sites and cut n paste...

Why not spend your time learning something instead of wasting hours...

A lot of themes need cleaning up, a lot of scripts need cleaning up, and alot of old modules need cleaning up, some modules and blocks are years old and need testing/updating to bring them in-line...

Just my thoughts

"Why not do something beneficial."
You mite not of notest but most PHP-Nuke Related sites are closing or have gone offline , im not a codder or i would make , fix a few things but im not a codder so what can i do? Well i have made a few blocks , modules ect in the passed but nothink that is breath taking.

I have set PHPNuke-Extreme up to try and bring back PHP-Nuke CMSs to how it use to be , since a lot of PHP-Nuke sites have gone they have also taken the downloads with them , without mods, blocks ect there is no CMS.

"cut n paste"
Whats the point in cut and paste ? Not good for indexing is it , so no im not going to be cut & paste.

"A lot of themes need cleaning up, a lot of scripts need cleaning up, and alot of old modules need cleaning up, some modules and blocks are years old and need testing/updating to bring them in-line... "
Who said im not going to be doing? i have just opened the site up to the public to see how it gos first.

They use to be loads and loads of PHP-Nuke Resource sites a year or so ago , now most have took the site down, left it to rot or left it for the public to do as they wish and its just full of spam in there forums.

There is only like 10 if that , thats still active , i.e meaning the admins are still updating the site.

Just my 2 cents.

Lets just hope it does not become another rip off site.

Oh yeah, you may want to fix this.
http://www.phpnuke-extreme.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=4#cat

there was never a Evo Extreme 1.0, it went in this order, Extreme 2.0.7 then Extreme 2.0.

Also, the Evo 2.0.8, you shouldnt be offering that for people will use it as a live site and as for it still in beta and them asking not to use it as a live site, not very wise to give out.

As for other sites offering downloads, you are right, allot of them did shut down, but knowing some of the owners of these sites, I can tell you that they shut down just because there was no traffic or donations to keep paying the bills. I was able to get some of there own modules and add them here or they even added them here.

As for modules that need cleaning up, I couldnt agree with you more. I have been upgrading, cleaning up, porting modules for a little while and I can just say, if you do them, then do it right. Its also nice to get permission from some of these authors before posting them on your site for download, for reasons like me, if I port or up grade anything, i will only notify the sites that I give permission to have it available for download.

just food for thought.

Thanks for pointing that out its been fixed

Also, the Evo 2.0.8, you shouldnt be offering that for people will use it as a live site and as for it still in beta and them asking not to use it as a live site, not very wise to give out

I dont have a Evo 2.0.8 on the site?"

Well all i can say is , you can not exspect traffic all the time, all CMSs , Sites have ups and downs just got to get thought it , and with Donations yes its nice to have a Donation to say hay thanks for all you have done for the community but you can never blame not getting Donations for closing the site down.

Yes its always nice to ask the author if the site is still up, i know most if not all block and modules are under the GNU General Public License meaning you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as long as its not a payed block , module.

I been trying to keep a close eye on anything new going on with Evo, since most of the stuff I deal with works with evo, even my site is evo.
