It's been a while since my last release, but the past few month I've been working on an update for the Clan Members module. It's finally ready and has a lot of new features.

Here's a list with all the changes:

  • Added a member profile
  • Added hardware profile
  • Added member's gallery
  • Added awards
  • Added join date and gender to member info
  • Added drag and drop script to order games, ranks and awards
  • Added the fancybox jQuery plugin, instead of a popup you will get a lightbox to enlarge images.
  • Simplified administraton in general using javascript and jQuery
  • Made adding members much easier and faster
  • Added game icon to games
  • More option in the configuration
  • Added teams
  • Added possibility to choose grouping the members by Game or Team
  • Added possibility to choose the background colors
  • Added possibility to change the title at the top of the clan members list
  • Added possibility to change the with of the clan members list
  • Added possibility to change the birthday and join date format

Ive not used it no, Ive not actually installed v3.0 yet either !

I have not run or been in a gaming community / clan site for over 4 years so ive never needed to use a manager.

I have used Clan Manager v2.0 on a test site and I can say for the price it is outstanding module and will do everything and more, what with these new updates for v3.0 im sure it will only improve it.

Ive just got round to installing it on Ravens Nuke, no problems at all, very nice indeed.

The only recommendation for the next version is the theme integration...

As default you can override the table background colours in the admin configuration as standard they are white or #EEEEEE in colour and I wanted to set it to transparent but couldnt.

I wanted to set the value to transparent ie:

style="background:transparent;"

But it wouldnt work.. I had to specify a solid colour which I didnt want because I wanted to use the textured images of the theme.

Its because the tables are still codded as:

tr bgcolor="#006633">

So maybe a slight change to

tr style="background:transparent;">

remember to leave the # in the admin area though so users could specify "transparent" notice how the "transparent" doesnt need the #

Other than that !! Excellent module and very very good, Well done !

OMG... Sleeping with the enemy I see. It looks like someone has poking around in the customer only part of the site. LOL!! Kidding of course as always great work.

Just changed the default colors, if you dont fill in a color, and the theme colors are empty, it will be transparent :)
