After half a decade in business, Minvera has now branched off into the gaming world in full swing
MinLEAGUE or the M.I.G.L., a new umbrella prospect of the company, has become greater than just a dream. The league opens March 28th with impressive titles including Call of Duty 5, and Left 4 Dead all integrated in the tournament ladders. With the Cyberathlete League recuperating, and CEVO and ESEA more oriented towards the pay-to-play genre, MinLeague has promised to only deliver pay-to-play after primary succes of multiple FREE opening seasons. MinLeague also stated that they will never charge more than 3$ per player for entrance to the p2p and team creation will also be free, (atleast 2$ per player less than other leagues).
Along with tournament ladders, MILG has opened a trial pug system for Counter-Strike: Source on mIRC ( #minvera-pug ) that will be available sometime mid March and is planning on a 1.6 system by early April. The anti-cheat client is also debuting in closed alpha and trial. The anti-cheat is said to be quite the sleeper. The software doesn't stop you from hacking or cheating, but instead reports that you have done so to the administration. So even if you win, you match might still be overturned based on received information.
I would say that you can expect big things from Minvera in 2009, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that things are getting a bit boring here. There needs to be something fresh and new, and we're here to find a way to do just that.
